Quick and convenient over the counter spot. The rice rolls are freshly made to order and hard to beat value for price ($3.50 for mixed toppings, most options are $2.50) Make sure to have cash!
Okay rice roll place. Not as much toppings as some other places but cheaper. The service is quick and it's a takeout spot.
Friendly service, super reasonable prices, and quick. I love how chewy it is. Don't forget to add the sauces before you go, or you'll have to run back like I did!
Honestly one of the best and freshest rice rolls places I've been. My siblings and I shared the rice roll with fish cake and it was so good - I love how they have the hoison and peanut sauce in the squeeze bottles so you can adjust the ratio to your heart's content! I wanted to try more but it is quite filling. Took off a star because I did see some practices that weren't as hygienic. Service was quite fast.
One of my new favorite spots in the city! It will be one of the cheapest meals you will get. The texture is chewier than Joe's Steam Rice Roll but I love a mochi texture so sometimes I am craving this one over Joe's. The simple one with all the veggies is my go to since the shrimp is just dried shrimp (Joe's has fresh shrimp). They make this super fast, don't be intimated by the older Chinese ladies ordering, they just know what they want and don't waste any time. It's usually a younger person working the cashier so she speaks English. Make sure you put all the sauces on your rice rolls after!
Great spot in chinatown by a residential area for freshly made rice rolls. Hot fresh in the morning for your breakfast. The rice rolls come out hot and customized by your preference. Go for the soy sauce, hoisin, peanut sauce with egg and scallion. They also have great curry fish balls here too. My go to breakfast in the area. Will be back.
Hole-in-a-wall place for getting 'chang fen' (rice noodle roll). They make it fresh in front of you. You legit can't get this cheaper anywhere else in the US, unless your mom makes it for you (the real cost is the lecture or trauma-dumping). Super quick snack or brunch on the go. There's no seats but they do have a trash can. I give Sun Hing Lung 5 noods, out of 5.
